Turkish Coffee Reading (Tasseography)
Coffee reading — fal in Turkish culture — is the art of interpreting the patterns left by coffee grounds in the cup. After the coffee is finished, the cup is turned onto its saucer, left to cool, and the shapes inside are read like a story of past, present and future.
How it works in AstroPi
Drink your Turkish coffee, leaving the grounds. Make a wish, turn the cup upside-down onto the saucer and let it cool for about five minutes.
Lift the cup and photograph the shapes inside. AstroPi reads the symbols and gives you a warm, sectioned interpretation — covering love, work and the road ahead.
